The world’s most manicured gardens can be a great source of inspiration for your little landscape. For your miniature plant choices – just as in full-sized topiaries – you’re looking for tight and dense growth patterns in either needles or leaves.

• Varieties of thyme for hedges
• African Boxwood for trees
• Junipers (Blue Star) for trees
